The outdoor lighting around my complex mainly consists of these lamps and a few street lamps that you can see shining off to the left.  At night they're not terribly bright but that is also a good thing considering many of them sit right next to people's windows and they could easily keep people up all night.  Instead spread several of them out around the apartments.

If you saw my post of my living room light, this is the same one with a white coffee filter covering it.  It didn't do as much as expected, but the orange hue became a little darker.  It was probably just a trick of the eye, but after looking at the light for a while it began to look green.  Although I do like the warm lighting, the filter didn't make enough of a difference to keep it there.

This is the lamp I have sitting in my living room.  Despite the quality of the photo, it's the lamp actually has a very warm, orangish color.  It's has a very relaxing feel and it looks good on the walls of the apartment.  For the most part I try to keep the windows open in my apartment because I prefer sunlight, but at night these lamps give off plenty of light and it feels very natural.

Here's a link to my comment on a post by Josuil and his awesome pictures from Epcot: http://josuil.blogspot.com/2012/06/night-at-epcot.html

A light mounted on the wall outside our classroom.  It's hard to tell in the picture, but when it's reflecting off the wall the light takes on a strong purplish hue and I think makes the hallway look more interesting.
This is the blue power light coming off of one of my speakers.  It's a very small, dim light, but at night it seems like Susan's refrigerator light example.  It becomes the brightest light I've ever seen and if I want to listen to music, it has to be covered.

This is a light from the LCD classroom.  It has a very orange hue but it doesn't give off hardly any light.  These are the same lights that they used when we were in Microphone Theory and the low light they give off always puts people to sleep.
